In a changing world, regulating legal relations that are becoming more diverse and complex and finding solutions to problems concerning law will not be possible, at certain times and events, with the application of only local and positive law. It is clear that the generally accepted, universal principles of law will continue to be important in the practice of the profession. While adapting to change, we need past and tried, universal principles and practices to shed light on the future.
